But they are both old and construction quality on the NAD is not the best. So, check it out thoroughly. It was perhaps the first amplifier that debunked the myth of the "more watts-is-better". But yes, one pair at a time. Shop was full McIntosh dealer so we had a test bench. So how did NAD design a good 20 watt amp?? They built an amp that didn't clip till it produced 40 wants.

My goal is to practice and rebuild this amp, and if someting goes wrong i dont get very upset to blow up the amp. What option do i have? Is possible to replace the transformer? Should i get a cheap V to V converter? For now i just opened and make a little clean.
