Alternator, starter, hybrid battery and related systems, regular battery, battery cables, engine harness, coil, ignition switch, electronic ignition, distributor or rotor failure, spark plugs and wires failure.
It seems to be something in the system that blows the bulbs out. I fix one and the other side goes out and fix that one and within 30 to 90 days the other goes out. I follow all proper protocol on installing them with the dielectric grease to no avail the still burn out. Even using different manufactures bulbs to see if that might be the problem but it hasn't been the case.
Maybe not as often as I have stated but I have purchased over a dozen bulbs since the purchase of this truck and have had to replace NONE of the tail lights, I find that odd to say the least. Sometimes it would cause the emergency flashers to activate. Such is progress". The dealer gave me dumped in to sn answering machene and no one called me back". The speedometer had to have the step motor replaced voltage gauge needs to have step motor replaced".
Speedometer stuck at say km when not moving alternator buried at 19 and oil pressure gauge also buried all the way to right truck works. Airbag light on. It reads incorrect so I use GPS for speed. I've had sensor replaced and it didn't he". No longer can you replace the bulbs in the dash board you must replace the whole dash cluster.
Makes for a simple build but repair becomes more expensive by a HUGE margin. The speedometer began to get very notchy and got worse until it quit working. One by one the other gauges in the cluster have stopped working. I found out that GMC had recalled the instrument cluster but never got notified of the recall. I bought the truck new so they knew who owned it and where i lived. The service writer claimed that it was due to a design or production flaw that GM was refusing to pay for.
Come on GM! Voltage fluctuated. The heating element shorted out and would auto shut off. It all started occasionally shutting off but by the end it would shut off immediately. Most of these require the complete switch to be replaced to fix the light.
My GM dealer estimates the cost to fix all of these lights is now app". GPS helps". If we use the key to open the doors it turns over right away. Strange but true". Shocks or struts, ball joints, tie rods, wheel bearings, alignment, steering linkage includes rack and pinion , power steering pumps and hoses, leaks , wheel balance, springs or torsion bars, bushings, electronic or air suspension.
Both right and left front". This is certainly some kind of design flaw". At first, my mechanic said it was a leak and to keep the fluid topped off. Then the steering failed and the vehicle was difficult to drive. The hose was replaced. That failed. Then the hose and pump were replaced. Those failed. A third replacement has been made. All of this took place within about 4 months. GMC wouldn't cover it even though it was defective and they have a revised part that solves the problem.

The driver's controls cease to function allowing no temperature control on the driver side of the vehicle. The registers are selected at random occasionally, causing the complete loss of control o". First on the driver's side and then a year later on both sides.
Also the main heater control door freezes up if the truck is started at temperatures b". The problem persisted intermittently for 3 years. Finally diagnosed and repaired by a competent tech in Faulty servo motor". I shut down the engine and restart and the problem corrects followed by the same condition.
I replaced it myself". Had to replace the unit as a whole". I went through three batteries because it was draining it each time. I checked and rechecked the fuses and nothing. Finally I took it in and the GMC dealer found it with the equipment they have". It has been looked at with no success yet". Paint fading, chalking, cracking, or peeling , loose interior and exterior trim or moldings, rust. Clear coat is coming off the bed cover and back tail gate. I have more than one issue with rust that is so prevalent it is actually making a visible hole in the metal.
Very poor body quality". Mine is no exception! Even though the rear of the body is fine. Extensive rusting of the frame. Brake line rusted through". Antilock system ABS , parking brake, master cylinder, calipers, rotors, pulsation or vibration, squeaking, brake failure or wear. After brakes and rotors were replaced, ABS does not work correctly.
Turns on at end of braking without any tire slppage". I had a Chrysler Le Baron with , miles and never had problems. Needed new ones. Also fuel line rusted out, had to replace". I purchased and installed the dimmer dial and head light selection module to fix the problem. Also, the information center and gear selection lights are dim enough you can't see them during the day. I found out I'll have remove the instrument cluster and solder a connection on the circuit board". Of 4 in-door speakers, only one works now. No component replacement available. For some reason the connector corrodes or loosens such that it doesn't work. Now I get buzzing with sound".
Back passenger windows are cause of all 3 problems". No leaks observed while vehicle is being driven". Took it to dealer and they said it couldn't be fixed and that is why they now come with electric windows". I vibrates and makes a buzzing sound. I have had the roof padded and braced and it still does it".
