Community speaker 30

Our flagship annual forum is the event for the global social enterprise community. This year we travel — albeit virtually — to Nova Scotia, where we have partnered with Common Good Solutions as Co-host to shine a spotlight on Canada, while also addressing priorities and issues for social enterprises around the world. Priority themes and topics include climate and circular economy, youth, rural, Indigenous-led social enterprise, gender, social procurement, COVID and economic recovery. Designed by and for social enterprises, SEWF will champion the potential of social enterprises — small and large, rural and urban — to bring about inclusive and sustainable economic development. Bursaries for social enterprises based in low income, lower middle income and conflict-affected countries closes 31 August. The programme design builds on feedback and experience from previous SEWF events, our Community Consultation in and also event best practices from around the world.

To demonstrate the impact of philanthropy throughout our region, members of our Leadership Team are occasionally available to discuss the successes of our partner organizations and donors who have provided the means to improve our community. Typically, our speaking programs are designed to inform about the needs of our community and how philanthropy plays a role in addressing critical community care issues, education and career development for children and adults, and how we create a sense of culture and belonging across our community. Special interest presentations are also available for professional advisors about our investment strategies and financial responsibilities, as well as legal topics such as planned giving and estate planning. Please use this form to request a speaker for your event.
