Tayden speakers vs celestion blue

This article provides information all related to speakers. While being the last limb in your signal chain, speakers do have a significant impact on your tone which may be even higher than the impact of tubes. While a speaker exchange is comparatively easy to do, it may be pricey, depending on the speakers. When you change speakers, it is important to use the right impedance.

Weber ceramic blue dog Post by grtamp » Thu Mar 02, am Hi all , anyone ever tried this type of speaker on Fender Tweed series?

Thanks R. So, to make a short story long, I took this Electro Voice kit from the 60's maybe 50's from my father-in-law after he passed away and built it to use as a guitar cab. I really like this speaker and it sounds great in this cab -- very full sounding and plenty of low end, I guess at least partly on account of the cab.

I can't speak to putting one in a Tweed series cab. If you have a line on one at a good price, I don't think you can go wrong. Sorry for not pulling the baffle, but that would require me to drill out a retaining screw in the molding that broke off. I wanted to give you some idea of the cab. It's big for one speaker and has some hi-fi type insides. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: Weber ceramic blue dog Post by grtamp » Fri Mar 03, pm I have to replace the speaker in a tweed deluxe 5e3. I love them in every amp ive tried it in. I use them in all my amps.

They are perfect in tweed Deluxes. It's in my Rocket Reverb and it's great. I've had one in a Princeton reverb as well. Always been curious about the ceramic version. Certainly less money than the Alnico. They all get a good rap. Also sounds great in a BJr too. Quote from rp - "I've got to get off TAG, it's like smoking amp-crack". The Silver Ten has a lot of bass response while the Blue Pup appears to be chimey.

I have both. Re: Weber ceramic blue dog Post by Roe » Fri Jul 28, am ceramic blue sounds ok, but not great.

Playing a Strat through a BB you will likewise know it is a Strat, but you will not be able to guess the size or nature of the amp. We all know that the 5 Strat tone settings give an incredible spread of tones even before you play with the guitar's tone control or not! Somehow, the BB seems capable of accentuating or rather differentiating the range more accurately. Finally, as has already been observed, so much depends on the quality and efficiency of the speaker. Despite all those who immediately swap it out, it is a very efficient speaker and to my ears the sound is fine. Stewart appears to hold the same view". By Cirrus , August 4, in Amps. Yes, occasionally people will say speakers require break in. People who buy new speakers say this, people who make speakers say this, even common sense itself dictates that a mechanical device that requires a piece of cardboard to flex will over time soften up and change its response. But still the nay-sayers come. It's ears going deaf through volume.

When speakers are new and not broken in yet, they may sound too bright and harsh. In fact, the Alnico Blue was the first dedicated speaker to be.

Firstly, I need to figure out the cabinet size and speaker combination that best suit the sound of the Filmosound amp. I decide the best way to do this is through experimentation and so I borrow a bunch of cabinets to audition. A larger cabinet with two speakers produces a bigger sound, with tight and punchy lows, articulate mids and really pretty upper harmonics.
