Dolby home theater program
For some reason - on my Alienware 14, the audio enhancements for Dolby Home Theater have stopped working. I'm just wondering what is causing this. I've tried repairing the drivers, restarting. Nothing has worked, can anyone come up with a solution here? Nothing is coming up on the equalizer.

For some reason - on my Alienware 14, the audio enhancements for Dolby Home Theater have stopped working. I'm just wondering what is causing this.

I believe that yours is the first post we have had here on the Laptop Audio board concerning Dolby Home Theater so I don't have any information on it yet.
If it is a program that installs with the Realtek audio driver then try removing the driver and re-installing. Open the Device Manager and expand "Sound, video and game controllers". Right click on the Realtek and select to uninstall. Put a check mark in the option to delete the files, and then ok. When you reboot, Windows will either install its own native driver or another Realtek driver if there were any other versions on the hard drive.
So go back to the Device Manager and check for a Realtek driver. That is the native Windows driver. Then download and install the Realtek driver for 8. Or open the Playback tab of the Sound properties, right click on Speakers and select Properties and look through the tabs for controls for the Dolby Home Theater, and toggle them.
