I was listening to 'Simon and Garfunkel's Greatest Hits' in the car, and I started to remember all of the great music Art Garfunkel had as a solo artist. I always prefered this song over 'All I know". While many people believe "Angel Clare" is Art's best solo album, I always thought his later works, "Watermark", Fate for Breakfast" and 'Scissors Cut" were just as good.
Interesting story about "Fate for Breakfast", when it was first released on vinyl, it came out with four different covers, but all four had Art sitting at the breakfast table. Now about the music on Simply the Best. I've always loved his lesser known hits. My personal least favorite song would have to be "Saturday Suit". I would have picked "All I know" over "Saturday Suit" to add to this collection.
I'm not sure why their are so many different versions of Art's greatest hits. They all have 20 tracks and all in the same running order, just different titles and different graphics. At 75 minutes worth of music, it's well-worth the price of this CD.

Surprised when I located this on Amazon. Good listening album by Art Garfunkel. I am a huge fan of Art Garfunkel and have purchased nearly all of his cd's. This one has so many of his popular songs. They taped the track, and Paul kept returning to its ebullience. When he brought it into the studio, he and producer Roy Halee made a loop of one section, to which Paul added lyrics that literally went from heartbreak to jubilation.
