Rotel RB 1080 question. (could be any amp)
User Name Stay logged in? Rotel RB seems underpowered? I bought this amplifier from a guy who said it had been sitting in his cuboard for the last 5 years since his upgrade and it seems to be very gutless for a rms amplifier-do you think it just needs to run for a while or is there anything I should do to it due to it sitting for so long-Im just supprised how little power it has given its size. The kenwood power amp it replaced was only rms and its half the weight!

Not impressed yet with Rotel RB August edited September in Electronics. I just picked up a used Rotel RB amp because I am hoping to get into 2ch sometime in the future and found a good deal on one. I'm at my parents house right now with their speakers Monitor 50's and I can barely tell any difference at all when using the Rotel versus the internal amp on my Denon

I bought an A21 last month in Toronto, but the dealer is having trouble getting one in stock. Not only is it one less box you need to deal with and find an outlet for, but the Halo actually makes more power than the A 23 does -- Wpc into 8 ohms vs. Hardly ever played it.
