Growing up, my family was traumatized by war and the struggle for survival, leaving everything they knew to a new country with no financial resources. I grew up speaking Kurdish.

I felt like an outsider when I first started school. I was confused and isolated by my ignorance of the English language. I had to build relationships with limited language skills. School was my first personal struggle. This led me to want to help other young people to be successful in school and in their lives. I whole-heartedly believe that every single student can succeed, and that every student deserves a champion.

As a school counselor, I am provided with the opportunity of servicing ALL students. Through my school counselor training, educational and personal experiences, I have acquired the knowledge and skills of how to implement a comprehensive school-counseling program. Moreover, here are some fun facts about me. I was born a year after my parents arrived to the United States.

I was born and raised in southeast, San Diego. I received my bachelors degree in Criminal Justice with two minors. I received my first minor in Counseling and Social Change and second minor in Sociology.

Contact Mr. Mohammed at Safen. Arredondo strives to be a student advocate and be equitable in his practice. Arredondo decided to further his education to have a greater impact serving youth and attended San Diego State University where he obtained his Masters in Science degree in Counseling with a concentration in School Counseling along with a Pupil Personnel Services credential. During graduate school Mr. Arredondo interned at Bayfront Charter High.

After graduating he became an elementary school counselor for several years and once again returned to Bayfront Charter High to his true calling! During his free time Mr. Arredondo enjoys staying along the golden California coast. His favorite activities include pier fishing, taking his two boys on outings, and collecting and trading Hot Wheels with collectors in San Diego and across the country.

Most importantly, Mr. Arredondo truly enjoys going to Tijuana to eat tacos and seafood! Arredondo at sergio. Addie Honeycutt is thrilled to bring her love of supporting students to Bayfront! He attributes much of his passion as an educator to many of the academic and behavioral challenges he experienced and witnessed in high schools growing up in Sacramento, California.

Those early experiences and his love for the game of basketball played a huge role in his development as an educator and basketball coach.

His journey as an educator then continued as he returned home and continued to teach, coach, and develop support programs in cities such as New Orleans, San Francisco, and now here at Bayfront Charter High School in Chula Vista where his career began over 16 years ago.

In his spare time Ron enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing basketball, camping, performing spoken word poetry, writing, playing his guitar, and experiencing new cultures in all parts of the world. Dyste at ron. I have been apart of the Bayfront community since and originally started as an English teacher. Although I loved teaching and was thrilled to be in the classroom, I quickly realized that some of our students needed more support outside of the classroom.

I knew that in order for our students to be successful in the classroom, their emotional, social, and mental health needs also needed to be met. With this in mind, I decided to go back to school become a School Social Worker to help our students in a different way.

As the School Social Worker I want to ensure that our students and their families have access to resources within the community to better support themselves and their loved ones. In my free time I enjoy doing anything outdoors, working out, camping, trying new food spots, and spending time with family! Contact Ms. Del Castillo at alexis. Logue has in-depth knowledge of charter schools, having worked with California charter schools since Logue has been a founding charter school board member and a business manager to several charter schools.

Logue has an extensive background working with charter school finance. In her spare time, Ms. Logue loves to travel with her daughter and spends a lot of time in Mexico, practicing her Spanish.

Logue graduated with her B. Eileen at: eileen. It is an interesting story. In fact, quite compelling. She is shadowy and secretive and has not been terribly anxious to share how she got here. We do know WHY she came here though. In fact, she lives closer to Bayfront then any other staff member! She also contributes mightily-- in time and energy-- to the many activities, special events, evening and weekend meeting, and of course, the school programs we have in place. Elisa at: elisa.

I am very excited to join the Bayfront team this year. During my spare time I enjoy traveling, watching the latest movies and spending time with my husband and our dog a cute yorkie who goes by the name, Ruffles.
