The MAX is a compact, high-performance intermediate frequency VCO specially designed for wireless communication circuits. They have monolithic construction with low-noise and a low-power operation in a compact 6-pin SOT23 packing. Th1s low-noise IC feature an on-chip varicap diode and feedback capacitances that avoid the need for external tuning components, making the MAX perfect for portable systems.

Only an external inductor is needed to set the oscillation frequency. In addition to this, an integrated differential output buffer is also there for driving a mixer or prescaler.

The chip can be operated from 45MHz to MHz. In the circuit the nominal frequency is set to Mhz by inductor L1, nH. R2 can be used as a volume control. Use 80 cm long wire as the antenna. This could be the simplest FM transmitter circuit you can find on the internet. Only using a single transistor and few passive components, this transmitter can deliver signals up to 50 meters.

The transistor Q1 serves as the modulator as well as oscillator. Capacitor C2 and inductor L1 forms the necessary tank circuit for making oscillation.

The voice to be transmitted is coupled to the base of Q1 using an electret microphone. The FM signal available at the collector of Q1 is radiated using the antenna.

The audio signals picked by the microphone are fed to the input pin pin2 of the IC via capacitor C1. C1 acts as a noise filter. The modulated FM signal will be available at the output pin pin4 of the IC. Inductor L1 and capacitor C3 forms the necessary LC circuit for creating the oscillations. Frequency of the transmitter can be varied by adjusting the capacitor C3. Here is a very simple, inexpensive and interesting project which provides lot of fun to a home experimenter or hobbyist.

This simple transmitter can transmit speech over a short range. It can be used as a simple cordless microphone. The circuit uses two integrated circuits from Maxim.

IC2 is a voltage-controlled oscillator VCO with integrated varactor a. Its nominal frequency of oscillation is set by inductor L1. The inductor value nH provides an oscillation frequency of about MHz.

For best performance, L1 should be a high-Q component. L1 may consist of 4 turns of silver-plated wire wound around a mm drill bit, and stretched to a length of about 1.

The wire diameter can be anything between 26 SWG 0. No core is used. When used with an electret microphone, some form of DC bias for the microphone capsule is necessary. The MAX has the ability to turn off the bias to the microphone when the device is in shutdown mode.

This can save several hundred micro-amps of supply current, which can be significant in low power applications particularly for battery powered applications like cordless microphones. A simple telephone transmitter circuit that is ideal for transmitting the telephone conversation through small distances. The circuit is very simple and uses only few components.

The entire circuit can be easily included in the telephone itself or in the junction box. The circuit is powered from the telephone line itself. The transistor Q2 is wired as a a Colpitts oscillator to produce oscillations in the FM transmission band. The audio signal from the telephone line is coupled to the the base of Q2 to obtain the frequency modulation.

The LED D1 acts as a power on indicator. With this compact FM adaptor circuit plugged into the audio out of your cassete player or i Pod out put,you can listen your favorite music on your car stereo.

This circuit is very useful if your car stereo doesnot have an auxillary in socket. The circuit is nothing buy an short range FM transimitter. The emitter resistance R2 provides sufficient stability to the circuit. It also limits the collector current to increase the battery life. The circuit presented her will transmit a audio tone in the FM band.

The circuit can be used as a tracking signal transmitter or a remote control transmitter. The circuit uses only easily available components and any one can build this.

The transmitter has a range of m 9V supply, with a matching antenna. The NE timer IC1 is used for producing the audio tone.

The diode D1 is used as a varactor here. This results in the change of junction capacitance of reverse biased diode , which in turn alters the frequency of the oscillator to attain the frequency modulation. The audio signal to be modulated is pre-amplified using the transistor Q1 and associated components. The transistor Q2 has two jobs: production of carrier frequency and modulation.

The pre-amplified audio signal is fed to the base of transistor Q2 for modulation. Capacitor C5 and inductor L1 forms the tank circuit which is responsible for producing the carrier frequency. This is a simple, but very useful circuit that can be used to transmit telephone conversations.

When the telephone receiver is on hook the voltage across the lines will be about 48 volts. The preset R7 is so adjusted to obtain a At this voltage the Zener diode D2 will be in breakdown and the transistor T1 will conduct.

This makes the transistor T2 OFF. When the receiver is off hook, the line voltage drops to about 11 volts. This project is a simple transmitter using only one crystal and will cover The crystal is a The frequency of the crystal is not critical as almost any other xtal for the 2-meter band will function.

The circuit is given above and simply mixes the output of a more or less conventional receiver multiplier x3 with the output of a This is Fm transmitter circuit for house. This circuit convenient for , because , have good small-sized. It is the ideal project for the beginner who wishes to get started in the fascinating world of FM broadcasting and wants a good basic circuit.

This circuit use the transistor the important , be the number is 2N The Circuit shown can transmit voice to exceptionally good range. Tune trimmer to hear the signal to your near radio.

Frequency range is MHz. Max current consumption is 30mA. You can power the bug with a 9Volt Battery, or you can plug a power supply to feed in Volts. That bug will pick even a low whisper or even the sound of a breath well far from the microphone. Great spy equipment. Here is a simple transmitter that when connected to a phone line, will transmit anything on that line execpt the dial tone to any FM radio.

The frequency can be tuned from 88 to about 94Mhz and the range is about feet. It is extremely easy to build and is therefore a good, useful beginner project.

The important part of the circuit is formed of the Colpitts type oscillator. However transistors force the LC tank and cause phase shift. Two driver stages are added to isolate the antenna from oscillator. First stage BF ampifies the low signal of the oscillator and works as a constant load. The second stage BFR90 amplifies the signal going through the antenna some more. A short copper wire can be used as an antenna here. Attaching a large antenna to this circuit is unnecessary because the output power is low.

This is a well designed basic FM transmitter that you can easily recive the signals transmitted from this transmitter in a km range with using a normal FM reciever. Another property of this circuit is that the bobin is placed on the printed circuit board.

The inductor has one tapping for feedback and a second to feed an optional prescaler. A truly minimalist circuit. Performance is relatively poor and stability is a problem.

Q1 modulates the signal and acts as an oscillator. L1 and C5 determine the frequency. Decrease C5 for a higher frequency and vice-versa. The author claims feet. A lot depends on the antenna. It must be made of stiff wire or else the frequency will change as you move the antenna.

FM_Transmitter -- Overview OBJECTIVES EQUIPMENT

I'm cleaning up some of the Planker docs in preparation for an article for QRP Quarterly, and will pop them up here with brief descriptions and notes. Since I like to start every project from the "back end", I'll start here with the audio board. This board is fairly straightforward: On the left side is the transmit audio circuit, starting with the mic connector, followed by a two-stage mic amp using a J and 2n The LM is powered on in both transmit and receive, but power to the driver transistor is disconnected while in transmit. Nonetheless, enough voice audio leaked through to the that it was clearly audible, so I added a 2N to shunt the output from the driver to ground while transmitting. Even though this places the 1uF at the top of the volume control at ground potential, enough sidetone still get's throug to be useful, and I see no reason to improve on it. The circuit above delivers enough mic audio using a cheap condensor to drive the rig to full output, and the coupling caps were chosen to minimize low-frequency response.

As the name suggests a preamplifier circuit pre-amplifies a very small signal to some specified level that can be further amplified by an attached power amplifier circuit. It basically acts like a buffer stage between the input small signal source and a power amplifier. A preamplifier is used in applications where the input signal is too small and a power amplifier is unable to detect this small signal without a preamplifier stage. The post explains 5 preamplifier circuits which can be quickly made using a couple of transistors BJTs and a few resistors. The first idea is based on the request presented by Mr.

That is a lot of bang for the buck! The upper right hand photo is a top view of the rig and the lower left hand photo is a shot of the right side vertical board housing the microphone amplifier and audio amplifier stages. Suppose you wanted to build a SSB transceiver, firstly to prove you could do it; but most importantly it must not be complex nor should it cost more than two trips to McDonalds for a family of four. The real goal is to have something that is portable, lightweight, small in size puts out 5 watts and can do FT-8 as well as SSB. Read on --your prayers have been answered! Oh and you would like a choice of band or perhaps two bands.

All the components are placed on one circuit board. The schematic diagram is split into This project uses just one tube. However, the tube chosen 13EM7 actually contains two separate triode structures. One is physically quite small, and is capable of a large signal gain but little power. It therefore makes an ideal preamplifier stage.

One great thing with the MH is that there is an unused 5v supply connection. The circuit works with 9V so it is good choice for battery operated systems. The following electret microphone preamp circuit seems to work pretty well.
