These are the best sounding speakers I've heard for live performances. I'm using them for live jams and rehearsals with my jazz quintet and will be using them for recording monitors. They have more than enough power for my small room jams. I'm using them without subs and putting piano-keyboard and guitar through them the drums aren't mic-ed. I intend to put bass through them as well if needed, however this may require active subs.
