Lumpy Waters , Jan 25, Although headphone ability is something many small amps provide, they often make a fair line out for direct recording. Now I haven't seen the schematic on this model, so I can't comment on its value for recording due to the placement of the jack for this feature.
Most are in line just before the signal enters the preamp stage. This is a common practice as it gets a low level signal straight from the preamp to the line out, thus giving the purest signal to the phones or pre-out stage of the amp. The Bugera V5, and the larger models from this company have had a fair track record. They came out as I was getting out of the business so I never had one on the bench to study.
However, many people use this brand of amp and state their satisfaction with their performance. Often some amps are not carried by stores to where you can go and sample them, and so often they're bought sight unseen from suppliers on the net.
This can be a good or not so good thing. If you can find this model in a store, by all means go test one out. Take your guitar with you to see just how yours sounds with this amp. That way you'll know just what you're getting. And demo a pedal or two if you can to see how well it acts with effects.

The headphone jack is definitely "drier' sounding than the amp. The little 8" speaker is cool for that little amp sound. A very good sounding small Class A amp. The reverb worked pretty well.
