Posted by novaspirit Mar 12, Projects Recently my news feeds been filling up with android auto on raspberry pi, so i decided to investigate and attempt to install it on my raspberry pi. I would also like to know about Bluetooth. Is it to do wireless android auto? As in you simply connect to it through Bluetooth rather than over USB or is it simply for audio or something?

Reply 2 years ago. I ended up using a larger SD Card and that error went away. I run into the same errors whether using the Git repository in this instructable or the OpenAuto Git repository directly. Hopefully the project gets sorted out quickly as this is something I really want to implement. Question 3 years ago. I want to allow a portion of my screen for Android Auto. I mean half of the screen will display mobile phone projection via AA and half will display native contents of Raspberry Pi.

I drive a Kia Rio. I have no legitimate complaints about it, as it works brilliantly as a daily driver. However, it does come with a rather boring radio setup. In comes my Raspberry Pi 3. After a quick half-minded Google, I discovered that a fantastic team of developers had got Android Auto on the Raspberry Pi. Crankshaft is pre-configured to run the Pi as a dedicated headunit system.
