Have been toying around with the idea of trying some different speakers and wanted some suggestions. There is nothing wrong with it and I love V30's but seeing if I can get a better sound. I play modern metal and always like "the Brootz" I am considering Scumback speakers and also Creamback 75w. I have tried V12 Legends and cool but prefer V30's. I have done the x pattern with V30 and 75's which is also a strong consideration, that sound is great.
Re: What speakers to try? I have V30s in my and Creambacks in my I can't remember if they are the 65 or 75 watt ones. Both cabs handle heavy tones brilliantly. I think I prefer the creambacks in the room but there is something about how V30s sound under mic that always make me happy. I tend to avoid the x-pattern. I hate the idea of getting my tone dialed in for the mixed speaker tone but FoH only getting the sound from one speaker. I love Creamback 75s. A little more neutral than a Greenback or V Still has a good low end and great treble without being shrill.
Are you wanting to try variants of a V30, or something completely different? The Eminence CV is a great alternative V30 variant. The Jensen's are cool though! If you are wanting a modern sound, the Celestion G12Ks are awesome, but they also have an extended top end.
Back in my day playing the metal with a and such I liked the Eminence Legend V12s from the Vader cabs, G12t75s in a cross pattern with V30s or of course straight Gs which are the best speakers of all time. Maybe do the Greenie's on top and leave the V30's on the bottom? I've been thinking about some Eminence Swamp Things for a 2x Reviews sound good. I have to stay offline for a while.

My studio and live gear
In my belief, speakers are the most important part of your tone. They are not only devices which convert electric current into sound. All speakers have their unique voice, they all sound and feel different. Because of this, I have always thought about them as an instrument. A good speaker actually acts just like an instrument, reacting to your picking dynamics, creating feedback, co-operating with your amp and your guitar in a way that can yield very pleasing results — if you use them properly.
