If you have a quality spade connector on your speaker cables then forget trying to connect them to the 60c. The tiny box that houses the connectors is so small that it is impossible to connect your spades unless you have really thin and cheap spades that you can bend.

I don't know if you checked the links, but they only connects to the Sony store. I already chekced the store and found no products to extend my speaker cables. Thanks for your reply. When I splice I either use crimp connectors or solder the joint, then use heat shrink tubing over the joint as insulation. Given the small size of the wire, I';m not sure I can find a small enough crimp connector. It's a big help to know splicng small speaker wire wqorks. Yes crimp connectors would be ok but like you say the small ones are difficult to find. Maybe try looking in the Car Audio section? Personally I'd just solder them and use the heat shrink tubing for a tidy finish. Actually even twisting the wires together should work though solder will be a better signal. I hope you understand that you're doing this at your own risk though? If it's out of warranty fine, go for it if it helps you out. I don't think Sony do longer cables anyway, I've heard people ask this question before.

I had one speaker go out intermittent performace first, no degradation in sound, just on or off and then about two months later the other speaker's sound was gone. Completely dead, not buzzing, nothing. I replaced the 9 year old Pioneer HU, thinking that this aftermarket unit failed. The door speakers are Sony Explode 6.
