Just for the hell of it I hooked them up in my main system. I have always enjoyed them but I'm shocked by how nice they sound. Where do I go from here? I have always regretted selling my CR-8s. Messages: I have the CR8s. I think they are a pretty good little speaker. Would like to be able to get them further apart as they image surprisingly well for only being 4' apart. You can place the instruments and vocalist easily but they are almost on top of each other a lot of the time. Some more seperation would enhance the effect I'm sure. MadJap , Aug 9, I have loved every Boston I've had. The A series was all acoustic suspension with strangely wide baffles but punchy and musical in spades. These 65's seem to be very solid and well made but I'm thinking they should have sealed these too. Bass is not particularly tuneful. I may try some more stuffing but matching source amp and room placement are probably more significant.
They sure can belt it out and crossed over properly with a good sub they are giant killers. Nice airy dispersion maybe due in part to the waveguide baffle form and diffractor over the tweeter.
