A veteran of the U. Caps and gowns were not required as many of the students, like Evan Keller, opted not to attend Sunday's ceremony in Columbus.

For Keller, who studied middle childhood education, studying at OSU-Mansfield meant getting more individual attention in the classroom, and getting to know faculty, staff and fellow students better. Welcome back to my blog. So when the commencement week events rolled around, I was determined to make the most of the finish to my college career. The Friday before graduation, we had our scheduled rehearsal, which I attended. It was really helpful in preparing for the ceremony. Despite having to wait for everyone to be seated, it was a fairly quick ordeal. My favorite keepsake from the event was the caricature I had done. The event had a featured student speaker, along with the president of the university and another guest keynote, who I assume is different year-to-year.

Cheyenne Wagner's senior year at Ohio State University wasn't quite what she imagined it would be. As the COVID pandemic lingered on, the university canceled fall and spring breaks as it implemented a variety of health measures for students and staff members, including regular testing and mandated face masks. It came as a pleasant surprise to Wagner, 22, when she learned in March that — at the very least — she would get to take part in an in-person graduation ceremony at the historic Ohio Stadium. But even that momentous occasion was marred as those who attended the spring commencement on Sunday were subjected to downpours of rain.
