Live Logic
To be fair, I became impatient and signed up on the waiting list again in november. That might have bumped me way down on the list. Oh well I can still loop. Just gotta be super fast with my hands. Tried it first with ControlerChange Messages but these can't be assigned for the global loop functions. Loop, Layer, Rec on Short Press. Redo, Undo, Rest on Hold.
I'm loving the looper function on the Deluge so much. But I'm about to go crazy waiting for the midi foot controller. Has anyone tried this one? That is the Synthstrom one, more accurately, Actition make the ones Synthstrom are selling, made in collaboration though be aware that there is apparently a slight software difference between the standard actition one and the one actition are making for Synthstrom. Don't know what that difference is but could be significant.
Having said that, I can't see why the standard one wouldn't work. Thanks for your thorough answer. The "slight software difference" will make me wait a bit longer for the Synthstrom pedal. I was suprised by how smooth the looper in the Deluge is. Even if I run my guitar through loads of reverb and delay and then straight into the Deluge, there will be no clicks or pops when it is looping.
There must be some kind of automatic crossfade applied I guess. Great stuff. Been on the list for quite a while. It's a very hard thing to give any definite reports or ETAs on as we work with another company on them and are at the mercy of their production, but we're still trucking through the list. We're doing real well to be honest. We've now caught up with at least the first 5 months of people who signed up to the wait list.
The crew are smashing it. There was just an overwhelming demand. I received my footswitch quite a while ago now. It's really nice, good build quality, easy to setup and use.
Thanks Synthstrom and ActitioN, great job! Hi pfrf can you explain what you mean by step through processes and is there a section on the foot controller in the manual as I cannot find anything about it , maybe I'm blind , cause I am so dumb need a description of how to install it and how to use the functions once it is installed , the only thing I have been able to find is a video on assigning midi controller by Ron Cavagnaro regards fellow Deluges.
Spacebat said: I'm actually thinking of getting one of these instead. Any reason why it would not work for live looping on Delige when playing a guitar with both hands? I think you'd be better off with the softstep, the 12 step is designed as foot-based keyboard while the softstep is more of a general purpose controller.
Did you manage to get that working? Not been able to log in here for a good while. I don't have a softstep, I was just suggesting it as an option. I have the official Sythstrom footswitch. Looking at the Softstep manual online it does say it can send note data. I guess the issue is that it is not latching but momentary? I have build my one and you only need to send a note on command.
Not sure if the velocity is important but I have used Zero is the same as note off. Have you "learned" the buttons on deluge? Just wondering if the official foot switch will make it into the accessories area of the Deluge store and if so is there any sort of deadline for that to happen?
Hello, I just purchased a deluge and have begin researching foot controllers. Is there a link to the wait list for the synstrom midi foot controller? The only page I can find seems to be password protected There used to be an email to sign up for a wait list. The foot switch is fantastic and really makes a huge difference in work flow if you're a guitarist or keyboard player interested in life looping.
I hope they bring back the wait-list. The only other pedal I was able to get working properly was a Zoia. But probably any programmable midi switch would work. I would avoid usn midi switches though as I couldn't get any beside the official one to function properly. Hate pushing - but I really want one, even tho I'm a patient bunny! For anyone looking for a good footswitch: This one was released last month. But it looks promising. Though I absolutely hate the fact that one needs to use an app to configure it - for which you will need to set up an account to sign into, possibly sending your data to china.
The only question I still haven't been able to get an answer to is wether it can be configured to send midi notes instead of cc or pc, which would be necessary to work with the deluge. Ampero seem a good lot - but who knows. Their guitar FX board was received well though it's up against headrush, line6 etc. Never knew i could be that excited about a cable, haha.
I had a bit of a very hard time finding a quality USB-B to USB-B cable to connect my snazzy Synthstrom foot controller - for some reason these don't seem to be very common at all in NZ, especially in longer lengths. My exisiting cable possibly the one that came with the switch? He has a firmware that does.

To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone has tried a Randall midi foot switch? I only have three presets that I use on stage and want a way to turn them on and off or just switch between them. The Randall switch is a midi switch for their amps or any midi switch amp. I'm just not sure if it could trigger a change in mainstage. I figure if it is just a midi pedal, then it should just send a signal that I can map. I have found one for really cheap and the size is perfect for my board.

All integrated into one rugged and stage-ready foot pedal with 10 programmable LED foot switches, 4 switching relays and connections for up to 4 external foot switches and 2 expression pedals. In the most basic state, a switch can send a MIDI message or change a relay state. But being able to send MIDI messages in a sequence of steps, takes the usefulness of a preset to another level. Or switch your amp channel, start playback in your DAW and change program on your effects rack, all by just pressing ONE button within the same preset. Whether you are looking for a simple pre-configured solution to control products such as Line 6, Kemper Profiler, AxeFX and Avid Eleven, want to control your DAW without letting go of your instrument or plan to create your own advanced setups for controlling a live show, PACER does it all.

By gibsonkal1 , February 28, in Helix. Great pedal! One seemingly silly question I have is: will a 3 or 4 button midi amp footswitch work with the HX Stomp? Like a Peavey or Randall 4 or 5 switch for amps for turning fx on and off? Or would I be better off with a Midi Mongoose. Whats an inexpensive way to add foot switches.

In this guide, I will go through a few different MIDI foot controllers and how each one could be used in different guitar rigs. Learn about different types of DAW Controllers in this guide. In the below photo, you can see a big difference in the features available in MIDI foot controllers. There is a big difference in the things you can do and control with a small foot controller compared to a massive foot controller with expression pedals. Some MIDI foot controllers have inbuilt expression pedals while others allow you to connect an external expression pedal. If you only want to be able to switch between presets or turn effects on or off, you may not be interested in having an expression pedal.
