If you listen classical music with Wadia 9, you feel the performance is more real and in your room. It is music and not HI-FI. Wadia 9 is more than 10 years old, and resolution is not its core competence. If you listen music every day like me and can afford Wadia, why consider the Playback Design. You may find a very good power amp , pre-amp or speaker at good price but not for a high-end CD player. Their music presentation is quite excellent.

Hah Hah If you listen to players that are tuned for music reproduction - say, an Accuphas, PD, dCS, or EMM - you would forget that you are listening to a gear, and would sing along or dance along. Very interesting. I saw you mention the single ended vs balanced difference before. Running into my Soulution , I do see transparency is better running directly. Of course I only run 2 meters of balanced cable from the DAC. LOG IN.
