Novel heterodiamondoid-containing field emission devices FED's are disclosed herein. In one embodiment of the present invention, the heteroatom of the heterodiamondoid comprises an electron-donating species such as nitrogen as part of the cathode or electron-emitting component of the field emission device. What is claimed is: 1. A field emission device having a cathode, wherein the cathode comprises a heterodiamondoid.

National Academy of Sciences, Killian, Jr. Summary of scientific research Dr. Eric Lander was one of the principal leaders of the Human Genome Project. A geneticist, molecular biologist, and mathematician, he has played a pioneering role in the reading, understanding, and biomedical application of the human genome — including developing powerful methods for discovering the molecular basis of human diseases that are used around the world.

Metrics details. Rearrangement of the short arm of chromosome 8 8p is very common in epithelial cancers such as breast cancer. Usually there is an unbalanced translocation breakpoint in 8p12 Rearrangements in 8p have been investigated using high-resolution array CGH, but the first 30 Mb of 8p are less well characterised, although this region contains several proposed tumour suppressor genes. We analysed the whole of 8p by array CGH at tiling-path BAC resolution in 32 breast and six pancreatic cancer cell lines. Regions of recurrent rearrangement distal to 8p12 were further characterised, using regional fosmid arrays.

German children told to bring blankets to school as windows left open to prevent infection

The distance rules and mandatory mouthguards no longer apply. School principals have issued the advice in response to new government guidelines requiring schools to ventilate classrooms by opening windows every twenty minutes. If you leave the windows open, one crack is not enough.

A peculiar aspect of Cherenkov telescopes is that they are designed to detect atmospheric light flashes on the time scale of nanoseconds, being almost blind to stellar sources. As a consequence, the pointing calibration of these instruments cannot be done in general exploiting the standard astrometry of the focal plane. In this paper we validate a procedure to overcome this problem for the case of.
