Marshall jcm 2555

Since the Eighties and beyond, Marshall has developed many good guitar amps and quite a few great ones. Marshall made a few minor changes and updates to comply with modern regulations, improve performance, and compensate for discontinued parts. These changes are mostly evident on the rear panel, which now features separate x1 , 8- x2 , and 4-ohm x2 speaker output jacks instead of a pair of speaker outputs and rotary impedance switch. The old voltage selector switch is also absent, and voltage is now fixed.

I wish I would have bought a head and a cab but at the time but I was looking for a combo It was also 29 years ago and I had a stronger back!! So now I use a hand truck to move it around!

I see we've got a member selling a Nace 18pro head. That's pretty attractive to me as an alternative to a low wattage Marshall but, I think I need to cull the herd a little before I jump on anything else. I keep thinking I might wanna sell or trade my 11R Yes, that head looks very attractive.

It has a built-in attenuator. And one of those two speakers is in a sealed enclosure, the other one is open-backed. You must log in or sign up to post here. Show Ignored Content. 1987 Marshall Silver Jubilee JCM 25/50 Model 2555 - 100W

After much customer demand, Marshall is offering the most popular product from its Silver Jubilee range. First released in to celebrate 25 years of Marshall Amplification, and to commemorate Jim Marshall's 50th year in the music industry, the has become a legendary and much sought-after amplifier due to its distinct looks, sound and features. The X is a modern-day reissue, featuring all of the original panel features found on the , and reproducing its signature tone perfectly. While the X circuitry was taken from original diagrams and has sonically been checked against the head in the Marshall museum, modern production techniques have made it possible to make several improvements to the electronics. Other important enhancements to the reissue include: -The back panel of the original had two speaker output jacks and a rather awkward Output Impedance Selector. For easier operation, the X has no selector and instead has five speaker output jacks ranging from 16 Ohm to 4 Ohm. And, to complete the ultimate half-stack or full-stack rig, check out the X AV slant and BV straight 4x12 cabinets, complete with Celestion G12 Vintage 30 speakers and the same gorgeous silver finish as the head. Review: Marshall JCM 25/50 2555X Silver Jubilee Reissue Guitar Amp — Video

There is endless of speculation about the exact Marshall that was used for the Appetite For Destruction recording sessions. The amp had been modded by Tim Caswell, who basically used the amp's unused tremolo circuit, with its additional pre-amp valve, to produce more gain. Also added to the amp was a master volume control. One of the most famous Marshall amp and one of the most representative of Marshall sound. Slash mainly played on this head during the early Guns N' Roses years. The Jubilee head was released in to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Marshall.

This model was produced from and it was built to celebrate 25 years of Marshall Amplification and 50 years of Jim Marshall's personal involvement in the music business. This was the only amp Slash was using around that time and he only had a few Jubilee heads. A bunch of those got badly damaged at the riot we had in St. Louis in
