Στα ύψη ανεβαίνει και πάλι η ένταση ανάμεσα στην Κίνα και στις ΗΠΑ, όσον αφορά το ζήτημα της Ταϊβάν, μετά την χθεσινοβραδινή ανακοίνωση του Αμερικανικού υπουργείου Εξωτερικών, με την οποία είπε ότι ενέκρινε την πιθανή πώληση στρατιωτικού εξοπλισμού ύψους 1,1 δις δολαρίων, προς την Ταϊβάν, προκαλώντας έτσι την οργή της Κινεζικής κυβέρνησης, που απάντησε σήμερα με μία πολύ σκληρή ανακοίνωση λέγοντας ότι:
«Η Κίνα θα λάβει με αποφασιστικότητα τα νόμιμα και απαραίτητα αντίμετρα.»
Αυτό δήλωσε ο εκπρόσωπος της κινεζικής πρεσβείας στην Ουάσιγκτον Λιου Πενγκιού, σύμφωνα με την Ελληνική ειδησεογραφική ιστοσελίδα liberal.gr, η οποία χρησιμοποιεί πληροφορίες από το ΑΠΕ-ΜΠΕ.

Tension between China and US is rising again on the issue of Taiwan, after last night's announcement by the US State Department, in which it said it had approved the possible sale of $1.1 billion worth of military equipment to Taiwan thus provoking the wrath of the Chinese government, which responded today with a very harsh statement saying that:
"China will resolutely take legal and necessary countermeasures."
This was stated by the representative of the Chinese embassy in Washington, Liu Pengyu, according to the Greek news website liberal.gr, which uses information from AMNA.
