This is a tube amplifier that I built from kit supplied by TubeDepot several years ago. I built it into a metal "Pink Floyd" lunchbox because I thought it was a fun enclosure to use. Lately it has developed a crackle noise during warm-up on the left side channel. I removed the components from the enclosure and inspected the solder joints and all connections. I re-wetted some of the solder joints and isolated the three transformers from the metal enclosure using rubber grommets. It seems to have worked as the crackle has mostly disappeared. I am happy I was able to keep using the enclosure. I plan to build another amp and enclosure in the next few months incorporating 3D printing in the design. Thanks for watching. I hope you're all doing well. - Sonic Ox
