In this video, I'll be reviewing the components that I'll be using to upgrade the sound system in my 2020 RAV4 Trail/Adventure TRD:
- 2 x 50 watts dash speakers
- 4 x 100 watts front and rear speakers
- 600 watts spare tire subwoofer
- 1300 watts amplifier

Originally I had the premium JBL audio system installed that comes with the TRD Off-Road package. However, I wasn't satisfied with it as it sounded so cheap with BASS roll-off issue and decided to upgrade everything including the wiring of the speakers.

If you have a non JBL RAV4, you can still follow the video tutorials below. However, I won't be showing how to get the signal from the Head Unit. Instead I'll be using the OEM amplifier to feed the aftermarket amplifier with the speaker level signal. There are other RAV4 videos created by other channels that can help you to figure out the wiring for the non-JBL audio systems. But overall, they have similar setup and the amplifier I'm using should handle both scenarios.
