4th gen Ram 4x4 not working. How to incorrectly diagnose and fix.

My 2014 Dodge Ram 3500 is having issues with the wiring harness for the front axle disconnect, causing it to lose four wheel drive. The wiring had been repaired at some point in the past, then when I bought it the 4wd didn't work at all, since the front axle actuator, transfer case shift motor, and drivetrain control module were all dead, most likely due to the faulty wiring. After replacing all of those and fixing the wiring issues, the 4x4 worked for about a week until it quit on me again. So I incorrectly diagnose and bypass the entire wiring harness to the 4x4 working again. Then as a bonus, you get to see my rant about @etrailer.com and their horrible service.
