6sn7 tube amp ideas.

Published
Just an explanation of some initial ideas about using a 6sn7 in a small class A amp, with a friend. This is not an instructional video (most of mine are not), and this idea is still on the prototype board, being created by non-paid amateurs. It may well be found that the 6sn7 is better suited for line levels or low output class AB power amp stage.

Nevertheless, in the right circuit, one may be able to use one of these tubes as the 1st stage in a preamp, despite the rather low mu and amplification factor of 20, compared to 100 in the 12ax7.

there are a few kits with printed circuit boards that utilize this tube, but any work I do will be point to point on terminal strips under a steel or AL chassis.
