A Four Watt Amp with Plenty of Headroom! Silktone Micronaut - Secret Weapons Demo & Review

I am a massive fan of low wattage amps. Across my seven amps here in the studio all but two of them are five watts or under. Single-ended, line level out capable amps can be a wonderfully flexible piece of home recording magic both in terms of being able to crank a low wattage amp without fear of reprisal from the house down the street but also as a stand alone direct recording solution. The Micronaut has that same appeal but brings some extra magic. Namely in the form of much better clean headroom than most similarly sized amps and a more nuanced and natural feeling direct output. So let's mic up the Micronaut with an AEA Ribbon Mic, run direct, and see what this little amp is capable of.
