A section of Democratic Party officials opposes decision of Speaker Muturi to join Kenya Kwanza

A section of Democratic Party officials has opposed the decision of National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi to join Deputy President William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza Alliance. The team led by Deputy Secretary-General Wambugu Nyamu says Muturi's decision went against the resolutions ratified by the national delegate congress that they will not be joining any coalition before the election. The team has now filed a petition with the registrar of political parties to oppose the move.
