The New LX :

The all-new LX introduces two new chapter Lexus engines, twin-turbocharged petrol and diesel V6 units which, although smaller in capacity than the model’s previous naturally aspirated V8 units, deliver significantly more power, higher torque and improved efficiency. They also provide powerful, linear acceleration thanks to their extended torque characteristics, up to high engine speed. Both are matched to a new 10-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission.

Exterior design

The new LX has the same 2,850 mm wheelbase as its predecessor, a conscious decision aimed at preserving the dimensions that has delivered the high level of off-road capability the model has enjoyed through successive generations. The front and rear tracks have been widened by 25 mm (to 1,675 mm), overall width has increased by 10 mm (1,990 mm) and the overall vehicle height has been brought down by 15 mm (1,895 mm), creating more balanced proportions and a more assertive appearance on the road. As a result, the model has maintained its 26˚ angle of approach, 25˚ angle of departure and 26˚ ramp-over angle.
