One could describe it as a typical Japanese product of its era, but it has to be stated that it is far from average. It has very clean and just a tad aggressive sound. A perfect match for smaller bookshelf speakers with lower efficiency. Comparing to some similar amplifiers of more popular brands and in same price range (at least those that I have listened in last decade), it is one of my favorites.
