Ann Kiusya elected Machakos County speaker

Advocate Anne Kiusya is the new Machakos County Assembly Speaker. She was overwhelmingly voted in for ;garnering 51 votes against 9 votes in favour of the former speaker Benard Mungata.
Meanwhile Ekalakala MCA Stephen Mwanthi was elected the Deputy Speaker, making a comeback to the assembly after only serving in the first assembly. The members of the assembly who took oath of office urged the government to initiate ward development fund, to enable them deliver service to their electorates.
