A live, semi-improvised track performed entirely on hardware.

I captured this quickly and, only a day later, realized that I had leaned into view during the final performance. I wish my head weren't obscuring so much of the view at points, but the feeling of the jam was important enough to me that I worked with the footage I had. Hopefully it's not too disruptive.

This piece started as a semi-generative exploration on the modular rack, with Manis on one voice and a Disting oscillator on the other. But really, it came alive as soon as I added the Subharmonicon, which did its trademark magic of making a song out of a simple sequence. The DFAMs into the Boum made a great combination, as the Boum dirtied up the DFAMs a little without sacrificing their warmth, and also allowed me to filter both in at once. And the Mother 32 gave me a sketchpad where I could plonk a few notes for emphasis. Ultimately, my starting point—the semi-generative eurorack voices—took a backseat to the warmer sounds, and my mood.

Mutable Instruments Plaits - chordal drone
Moog Subharmonicon through Noise Engineering Melotus Versio - main chord progression

Expert Sleepers Disting Mk4 - generative sequence 2
Qu-Bit Bloom - semi-generative sequencing
WMD Overseer through Happy Nerding FX Aid XL - master filter and reverb
ALM Busy Circuits Pamela's New Workout - clock and modulation/LFOs
