We begin a 3 part series investigating the astable mode of the 555 timer. In this part we look at two variations of the basic astable circuit. In part 2 we'll combine the two in an interesting way, do a PCB layout and order some boards form PCBWay. In the 3rd part we'll build and test the final result. We'll also go into the theory of operation a little.
