Blue Öyster Cult - Career of Evil - Bass Cover HD

Published
Bassline exactly as played note-for-note by bassist, Joe Bouchard of the legendary Blue Öyster Cult from their album, Secret Treaties, released in 1974. In fact, I saw B.O.C. perform THIS SONG LIVE in concert in Detroit in 1974 and Joe Bouchard was in fact playing a Rickenbacker 4001 Jetglo bass during that awesome concert; so, this bass cover is dedicated to Joe Bouchard. Btw, it required a lot of listening--even at 25% speed to grasp all the notes and nuances played by Joe--so, enjoy this!
Note: the bassline during the Verse is always the same, while the bassline during the Chorus changes a little--that's why it sounds different.

The bass is a 2018 Rickenbacker 4003 Jetglo, with original pickups and FRESH NEW Rickenbacker roundwound strings (45 - 55 - 75 - 105). The TONE selector switch is pulled OUT for the VINTAGE TONE. Both pickups are full up. And the amplifier is a Marshall B 25 MK II and the Bass knob is at 5 o'clock, the Midrange at 3 o'clock, and the Treble is at 5 o'clock. In addition, I designed and created a stainless steel 'cover' for the 'hole' surrounding the treble pickup--it does not affect the tone, nor the magnetism of the magnet of the pickup. Why did I create that? Because I LUV the 'string tension' at that exact spot, which is now accessible.

ONLY AN ILLUSTRATION TO SHOW HOW TO PLAY IT ON THE BASS.
