Bluetone Plexi 50 vs genuine 1969 Marshall JMP – Which Amp Is Which?

Published
Finnish guitarist NIKO RÄTY compares a well-maintained, genuine 1969 Marshall JMP amp head against a brand-new BLUETONE PLEXI 50.
Both amps were connected to the same Marshall 1960A 4x12" cabinet (loaded with Celestion G12T-75 speakers). Niko plays a custom-made Finlandia Instruments guitar. The last clip also uses an Ibanez TS808 Hand Wired overdrive pedal.
The Marshall cabinet was recorded with a Sennheiser MD421 and a Shure SM57. The mics went into a Cranborne Camden EC2 preamp and from then on into a DAW.
