Can A Klon Boost A Cranked Marshall (And Sound Good)...?!?

An #AskPerky (of sorts!) for you today! I've been asked before how well a Klon works boosting into an already cooking Marshall amp - and I've seen this topic discussed a lot on forums over the years. So - let's find out!

I'll turn my JTM45 clone up to the point where it's really doing its magic, hit it with the OX4 PAFs in my SG, and then introduce the Decibelics Golden Horse (yep, I don't own an original - shock horror - but the Decibelics is widely regarded as being one of the very best/most accurate Klones out there) to see how it all sounds.

What do you think? A nice upper mid boost? Does it get too much as the gain is piled on? Comment below!

Guitar is a Gibson SG Standard with OX4 Low Wind A4 PAFs. Amp is a Vajra JTM45 clone running into a Zilla Studio Pro 2x12 cabinet loaded with Scumback S75-PVC AlNiCo and Celestion AlNiCo Gold speakers. Recorded with Aston Spirit Condenser, '70s Sennheiser MD441 and sE RNR1 ribbon mics, with a Schoeps CMC6 room mic.
