Can A Mic Clip? Testing microphones on a loud guitar amp

I have had some suspicions that some of my microphones clip when I turn up a guitar amp really loud. In this video I test several microphones to see if they can clip prior to the audio interface.


I'm using a parts stratocaster into a Super Reverb clone amp I built into an open back 2x12 loaded with a single Eminence Red White and Blues speaker. The mics are placed two fingers distance from the grill cloth about half way from the center of the cone to the edge. All mics are run into an Audient ID22 audio interface. I use Reaper for a DAW. I do equalize levels to match closely without clipping or limiting the output.
