Dealer Tells Customer: "JUNK YOUR CAR!" (VW Beetle)

I got a call from the owner of this nice 2007 VW Beetle for a second opinion.
He said the local VW Dealer suggested that he JUNK HIS CAR, since they couldn't get the parts to fix it!!
WHAT?!?
