Dean's Speaker Series | Jen Wong, COO, Redditt

Published
Jen Wong is Reddit’s Chief Operating Officer, overseeing business strategy and related teams. Only four years into her tenure as COO, she has helped lead the growth of Reddit into a profitable business by scaling ad revenue to well over $100 million. Her leadership goes beyond growing the business; she is also passionate about Reddit’s company goal that’s just as important as revenue: diversity and inclusion. In addition, Jen is viewed as an expert in the digital landscape having held leadership positions at Time, Inc.; PopSugar; and AOL.

In a fireside chat format, Jen Wong will discuss her leadership journey, advice for business students, the organizational culture at Reddit, and her experience as an LGBTQ+ leader. There will be time at the end for questions from the audience.

This talk, co-sponsored by Q@Haas, is hosted as part of the week-long Coming Out Week, taking place September 18-22. Events during Coming Out Week will feature a sharing of LGBTQ+ experiences and stories with the broader Haas community and a welcoming of Q-identifying Haas community members and allies to participate, engage and be present. Students can register for additional Coming Out Week events through Campus Groups.
