Dean's Speaker Series | Mary Nichols, Vice Chair, California-China Climate Institute

ary Nichols is known for her long tenure as the Chair of the California Air Resources Board where she oversaw the development and implementation of multiple globally recognized programs to cut air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions in ways that create jobs and economic growth. Mary currently serves with Jim Farley, CEO of Ford Motor Company, as the Co-Chair of the Coalition for Reimagined Mobility and is Vice Chair of the California-China Climate Institute with former Governor Edmund J. Brown of California.

In a fireside chat, we will discuss Mary’s background as a regulator, her leadership experience working with business to design environmental policy, and her advice to students who wish to work in sustainability. Following our discussion, there will be time for audience Q&A.

This is a Sustainable Futures event. Developing a sustainable, climate resilient economy covers every aspect of business - agriculture, real estate, energy, finance, and corporations. All these aspects of business will need to be reimagined and redesigned to address the current environmental, social and economic crises.
