Fender Hot Rod deluxe conversion to hand wired eyelet board Princeton AA1164 tube guitar amp upgrade

Published
Part 1, mechanical change over. This video covers Converting the Hot Rod Deluxe to a Princeton Reverb. Since the new power transformer requires a rectifier tube, that hole needs to be added. Also this circuit has 4 12AX7 tubes. After installing all of the new components, the chassis is nice and open for the wiring phase. In part 2, I will show the completed wiring, plus we will have a live demo. This cabinet houses a 12" original speaker, which should really sound nice with the AA1164. Note: The reverb tank will also need to be updated for interface with the driver transformer. The Hot Rod had a solid state circuit for that function. Now this has become a real amp!
