Fender Reissue white Hot Rod Deluxe guitar amp 6L6 tubes running red bias issue repair advice

Yep, I normally do not like working on the Reissue amps, however, the fellow was local, drove it to me, so no shipping involved. I knew before opening it, that the Illinois filter caps would be inside leaking. A common problem with these amps. Not sure if it was a batch problem. I installed a new set of F&T 500VDC caps and a matched pair of Tung Sol 6L6 tubes. Playing like the day it was made again. Unfortunately these circuit board based amps grow problems from heat & vibration, so I cannot guarantee how long it will last. These amps sound great when they are working. The owner was very happy to hear it play again. Make sure to observe the bias test point when servicing this model Fender. Free Tek Tips from D-lab!
