First test of my scratch built push-pull 6V6 amp.

Still working on my second scratch built tube amp. This time it's a push pull 2x6V6 poweramp. I wanted the freedom to experiment with different preamps, including op amp based LM386 solid state preamps. It helps the learning process for me, to split projects up in modules.

This nice copper plated chassis was donated by my friend Dan/KD2YND, the Hewlett Packard/RCA tubes and vintage brown bakelite sockets were donated by Andrew/NV1B.

In this video there was 120hz hum present in the signal due to power supply ripple. Adding more filter capacitance minimized this, but I may need to add a choke.
