Hon. Ssegirinya’s mother appeals to speaker over son’s detention

The mother of jailed Kawempe South Member of Parliament Muhammad Ssegirinya has stormed parliament again, demanding to see the deputy speaker of parliament, Anite Among, to ask for the release of her son. Christine Sannyu Nakajumba was in the company of Ssegirinya's wife.
The duo were led by security to the director of communications and public affairs at parliament, Chris Obore, who explained to them that the matter is now beyond parliament. Obore however, asked the judiciary to speed up the process of adjudicating the matter in which Ssegirinya and Makindye west Mp Allan Ssewanyana are being charged with several counts, including murder and terrorism#NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition
