Kevin McCarthy loses 12th House speaker ballot but flips some votes in his favor | full coverage

GOP Rep. Kevin McCarthy on Friday managed to switch 14 votes in his favor but still didn't have a majority to become House speaker on the 12th ballot. McCarthy is trying for a fourth day to muster enough votes on the floor to win the election for speaker after falling short in 11 rounds of voting earlier this week.
