According to a source, The speaker of Parliament, Jacob Oulanyah spent last weekend in Nakasero Hospital, the speaker reportedly had a swelling that affected his food and water intake for a number of days. The swelling has since been handled and he was discharged on Monday, returned to his home in Muyenga and he's said to be in stable condition.
However, President Museveni during the recent cabinet meeting told a minister (names withheld) to make sure Oulanyah recieves the best medical attention.
Museveni reportedly asked the concerned minister why they had not taken the Speaker for special treatment.
Efforts to get a comment from Parliament about The Speaker's health were fruitless and upto now parliament has not yet made any official statement regarding the health of the speaker !!
