Little Boxes 40106 VCO

Introducing the latest member of the Little Boxes Orchestra - the 40106 VCO. No prizes for guessing it's a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) based on the 40106 inverter chip. However, crammed into this little box we have a square wave VCO and a triangle wave VCO with control voltage (CV) input and CV level control. There is also a low frequency oscillator (LFO) that can be switched into the CV input to the VCO. It is all powered from a 9 volt battery.In this video I show the breadboard prototype I used to develop the idea, the final circuit diagram and stripboard layouts and finish with a demonstration of some of the sounds this little box can produce.
