Making Open Baffle 4-Way Speakers - Part 1

Published
What are open baffle speakers? They are speakers that aren't in a box, basically. And that can mean something very simple like having the raw drivers mounted on a sheet of plywood. I'm going for something more elaborate with a shaped baffle with side wings.
I decided to use solid wood - cherry - because the baffle design is fairly complex. Solid wood does have a serious problem, in that you need to be aware of and make allowances for seasonal expansion and contraction. Leaving some space around the woofer so that it's not a tight fit will solve this.
In this first video I go through some of the details of the design (more in future videos) and start cutting the parts to make the baffles.
