Welcome to our seventh episode, "West Africa Night" from our newest series Mark's Park, featuring Biko and Arouna.

Biko Casini and Arouna Diarra are known as members of world folk band Rising Appalachia, who play a number of traditional African instruments, including the n’goni, balafon, djembe and more. Enjoy them performing songs such as "Adventure" and "Kele-Could You Be Loved."

Mark’s Park is filmed in front of a live audience in PFC co-founder/producer Mark Johnson's backyard in Venice Beach, California, this series brings together the diverse group of people who call Venice Beach home in an effort to not only foster community but help support the homeless youth within the community. A portion of the proceeds from Mark's Park will benefit our partner, Safe Place For Youth — empowering young people experiencing homelessness to thrive by providing lasting, community-driven solutions that address racial and social inequity.

Join us from Mark's home to yours, and together, let's help those who don't have a home.

SET LIST:
“Adventure"
"Dounia La Tiege"
"Kele-Could You Be Loved"
"Maria Tebo"

Playing For Change (PFC) is a Certified B Corp (Social Purpose Organization) created to inspire and connect the world through music, born from the shared belief that music has the power to break down boundaries and overcome distances between people. The primary focus of PFC is to record and film musicians performing in their natural environments and combine their talents and cultural power in innovative videos called Songs Around The World. Creating these videos motivated PFC to form the Playing For Change Band—a tangible, traveling representation of its mission, featuring musicians met along their journey; and establish the Playing For Change Foundation—a separate 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting music programs for children around the world. Through these efforts, Playing For Change aims to create hope and inspiration for the future of our planet. To learn more, visit https://playingforchange.com
