My New Amp! Victory Amps The Jack V30 MKII - Some Quick Tones

Published
Well Chuffed to be a part of the Victory Amps Family! Here's some first time testing out my new V30 MKII 'The Jack'

The amp is going straight into my Two Notes Captor X using a 2x12 V30 Victory Cab with a 414 Condenser Mic.

I love how hairy these amps are. I'm honoured to be part of a line up amongst the hairiest guitar players in the world including Guthrie Govan, Rabea, Ritchie Kotzen and my buddy Nick Jennison who was kind enough to help me out! (thanks dude!)

Playing a real amp live, is like playing a real gig. Its probably all placebo, but there's something about it. The whole thing becomes an extension of your mind, fingers and guitar. The amp is just as much a musical instrument as the guitar is. Personal choice of course! Yes it may be a little bit random, but that's what life and music is like.

I'm really happy to be playing the V30 MKII (which is an amp Guthrie helped design originally) its part of 'The Jack' series of amps. I wanted a workhorse for most things (Rock/Pop/Funk/Fusion) but I was surprised that I can also plug my 8 string in and get a nice organic heavy sound which I've been searching for. Its hard to explain... and perhaps its not worth explaining, when you find a bit of gear that works for you, go with it, get the most out of it, enjoy and make music!
