National Assembly speaker Park Byeong-seug calls for global partnership on pandemic and climate crisis at P20 Summit

South Korea's National Assembly speaker Park Byeong-seug has called for a global partnership on a parliamentary level,... to resolve issues like COVID-19 and the climate crisis.
During the G20 Parliamentary Speakers' Summit held in Rome... Park said those efforts are needed to bring a "turning point" to a world battling a stagnant economy and frequent natural disasters.
Park introduced South Korea's efforts,... including the newly passed "carbon neutrality law",... as well as a plan to provide green funds for developing countries.
On the sidelines of the summit, Park met his German counterpart... where he expressed hope for strengthening vaccine partnerships,... referring to the vaccine jointly developed by Germany's BioNtech and U.S. drugmaker Pfizer.
